WOW! I just finished showering and drinking my favorite meal of the day- Shakeology!
I didn't know what to expect coming into this workout and that's a good thing to come with no expectations except to DIG DEEPER no matter what. I woke up early, took my Energy and Endurance and pressed "play". Right off the bat, Shaun T warms up your back and legs similar to Volume 1's "Back to the Core" routine except he has you holding your jump rope in half keeping it tight all the way to have your back and core engaged all the way.
The workout consisted of several core and pull-up variations which had me feeling it mostly in my upper back. Shaun T even threw in ski abs and in-and-out abs which brought back the good old Insanity days. At the end, I was left sweating buckets but feeling really good. I still feel he burn on my back too!
Looking forward to the "Off-Day Stretch" tomorrow to prepare for "Championship and Sudden Death OT" on Saturday morning. *gulp*
DIG DEEP!!!

Insanity: The Asylum Volume 2, Day 3/30- Power Legs
Calories burned: 738 calories
Average heart rate: 164 bpm
Maximum heart rate: 188 bpm
Duration: 46 minutes, 25 seconds
I was planning to wake up at 5am to train my body to wake up early while it's still dark in preparation as I head back to work next week. That didn't happen. I just slept through but woke up at 7:30am, drank my green tea, took three scoops of Energy and Endurance, and got my workout started at around 8:45.
To be honest, I was quite nervous heading into this workout because of all the reviews done on it and as well as leg workouts are always the toughest for me. This workout was the HARDEST leg workout I've ever done so far!! Shaun T has really upped the notch in comparison to Insanity and Insanity: The Asylum Volume 1. I even did some kettlebell swings using a 15 lb. dumbbell for the first time. I did feel my lower back starting to hurt and that's because my form started to give way. So here's a tip: ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS tighten your core and keep your back flat when jumping and squatting. Otherwise you will throw out your back and back injuries take a long time to recover from.
I apologize for my lack of pictures today. I was so focused on doing this and I completely forgot!
On another note, I am doing something called Intermittent Fasting which is a nutritional lifestyle in which I have an eating "window" from 9am-5pm with three meals per day with my middle meal being the biggest and I strictly fast outside those hours. I'm only on Day 2 of it and I have loads of energy and I'm already noticing my mid section shrinking even more!
Here's my how I broke my fast- drinking Shakeology! Definitely love it and it's such an awesome investment!

Insanity: The Asylum Volume 2, Day 2/30- Upper Elite
Calories burned: 835
Average heart rate: 158 bpm
Maximum heart rate: 184 bpm
Duration: 1 hour, 23 seconds
I have never experienced an upper body routine quite like this before!!!!
I got up around 8:30am this morning. Since I am doing an intermittent fasting regiment as my nutrition, I waited until 9am to break my fast with green tea and soon after took a shot of my Energy and Endurance workout formula. Within 10 minutes, I felt the energy so I pressed play.
Finished it off by drinking the P90X Results and Recovery Formula. I will now make my Shakeology for my first meal of the day and figure out how to squeeze in two decent sized meals before 5pm. I'm new to this intermittent fasting thing, so if you guys have any tips, I'd appreciate it!
Shaun T basically wreaks havoc on your upper body with push up variations, presses, curls, etc while doing leg lifts to work your core with agility ladder sequences as an "active rest" exercise. The reps are all done within a time limit so I found myself maxing out until failure. I apologize again for not giving an entire run down because I don't remember the exact exercises partly because it goes so fast and partly because I'm exhausted. This workout had me crawling for my water at the end. Amazing routine, great pump, awesome burn!!!
Until then my fitness crazies!!!

Insanity: The Asylum Volume 2- Day 1/30, X Trainer
Today began my day of Insanity: The Asylum Volume 2! I've been anticipating this program ever since it was announced that they were filming it. I enjoyed Shaun T and doing Insanity and Insanity: The Asylum so much already and I couldn't wait to get started.
I didn't eat the cleanest today since I took out my girlfriend all day today but clean eating will resume again tomorrow. Started the "X Trainer" routine when I got home earlier. This workout went great! I drank my Energy and Endurance pre-workout formula using a different method a Beachbody coach friend taught me and it got me going in 10 minutes. I didn't have much trouble doing the complicated ladder moves since I practiced the Agility Tutorial a couple of times last week. I did it slower making sure I had right form and concentrating on getting the sequences right. It was very fast paced and hard as heck. Shaun T has really gone off the deep end on this! The toughest part of the routine was the Push-Up Matrix in which I had to do a total of 60 push-ups in three positions while holding planks for 10 seconds in between. At the end of this whole routine, I just crawled to drink my water and wondered what I got myself into! I drank my Results and Recovery formula so I can properly restore the lost glycogen in my muscles to get me ready for tomorrow's workout- Upper Elite, which is an upper body workout involving weight training. It's something that I have missed out while doing the Insanity series.
I apologize for not giving a complete rundown since I am way too tired to remember but I'll give more details next go around at this complete with videos and action shots.
I will begin posting up my meals tomorrow but here are my stats and some snippets from today's workout.
Calories burned: 800
Average heart rate: 173 bpm
Maximum heart rate: 192 bpm
Duration: 49 minutes, 14 seconds

Results
This will be my first post in my blog dedicated to fitness. So I will share with you my results so far.
In less than a year, I have completed Insanity, Insanity: The Asylum Vol. 1, and P90X. I am completely floored with my results. I never would have thought I would be this fit again and I'm not even done. Along with taking the right supplements (Energy and Endurance, Results and Recovery Formula), proper nutrition (eating clean 6 days a week and Shakeology everyday), having an online support group, and disciplining myself to get my workouts in (NO EXCUSES!) when I'm supposed to, I have gone from an obese 225 lbs down to a very healthy 165 lbs.
